Hello, my name is Dawn, and I am the Nursery Manager at Children 1st Acorns, Upper Tean.

I started my career in 1993 after gaining my NNEB qualification at Stoke on Trent College. Over the years, I have gained a great deal of experience working within the Early Years sector. I also hold a NVQ Level 4 in Nursery Management and have been our Nursery Manager since 2006.

Making a difference

Our Community

At Children 1st Acorns, we鈥檙e proud to be part of a caring and connected community. We鈥檙e supporting Pink Sisters and Misters, a local charity that provides support to people affected by cancer. The charity offers a warm and welcoming space where individuals can connect, share experiences, and access practical and emotional support during and after treatment, helping no one feel alone on their journey.

Throughout the year, we鈥檒l be getting together for lots of fundraising activities, from bake sales and dress-up days, to sponsored challenges. Together we can make a difference to such an important cause and inspire our children to grow with kindness and generosity. We can鈥檛 wait to see what we can achieve as a community! Keep an eye out for updates on our events and how you can get involved in supporting Pink Sisters and Misters.
